This course is your first step to becoming certified. The PADI Open water Course, is the most popular scuba diving course in the world! With average swimming ability the Aquatic World is open to you. The course is performance based so you learn at a comfortable pace. Academic The academic training teaches you the basics of dive theory and dive tables. The sessions take place in the classroom, with the use of video’s slides and other training aids.   Self-study is required and knowledge reviews will be conducted before formal lectures start. There are five academic sessions. Swimming Pool Sessions You will be assisting in lessons under the watchful eye of you PADI instructor & giving demonstrations. Open Water Sessions This what you have been waiting for. All the skills you developed in the pool you now put into practice in the open water, there are four dives between 6 and 18 meters in full scuba kit. Lots of aquatic life and fun to be had with other students. Your Instructor and supervisory staff will be with you at all times. Course Prerequisites Over 16 years of age, healthy, swim 200 meters and tread water for 10 minuets [if you are unsure about your swimming, no problems we will work on it over the weeks we train] Any health problems contact one of the instructors or see your doctor.
